Butter-C is a cosmetic OEM/ODM manufacturer in Hanoi, Vietnam, that began as a pharmacists' research lab. This page covers where Butter-C started, the principles we work by, and which parts of building a cosmetic brand we can take on with you.
From research lab to factory
Butter-C started as a small research lab. Its members are pharmacists who graduated from Hanoi University of Pharmacy and Vietnam Military Medical University. For years, the team provided cosmetic solutions and formulas to companies that wanted products under their own brand.
After that period, the company invested in a factory in Thanh Oai Industrial Cluster to serve clients end to end: beyond the formula, also manufacturing, testing, regulatory dossiers, labels and packaging — from idea to a finished batch under the client's brand.
With more than 15 years of experience and a 5,000 m² factory, Butter-C has to date worked with more than 200 clients and manufactures more than 100 product types listed in our catalog.
Pharmacists making cosmetics
Pharmacy left Butter-C with one habit: every decision needs a basis and a record. In cosmetic manufacturing, that habit shows in concrete ways:
- Every client has their own formula, stored separately and never reused for another client.
- The scope of claims is reviewed at the briefing stage, before any raw material is chosen.
- The approved sample goes through stability and packaging compatibility testing before production; the in-house specification is built from measured data.
- Every finished batch is tested at a GLP/ISO 17025-accredited laboratory; retained samples and batch records are kept for traceability.
- A Product Information File (PIF) and a notification dossier are prepared for each of your products.

Five working principles
Understanding
Before talking about ingredients, Butter-C asks who you sell to, through which channel and at what price. The right answer is sometimes a simpler formula than first planned.
Reliability
Transparency in production and compliance: you know which process the product is made to, where it is tested, what the handover dossier contains, and who is responsible for which part.
Responsibility
Product safety is weighed before cost. A formula, label or claim that does not meet requirements is corrected before the project moves on.
Partnership
Butter-C works alongside you as your business develops: from the first batch to adjusting the formula on market feedback or extending the product line.
Innovation
Applying technology to formulation through four platforms: liposome, bio-fermentation, bio-peptides and micellar (see technology).

Direction
Butter-C is working toward exports to the Asian region, and sees its mission as helping companies build lasting brands — your brand, not the factory's. That is why Butter-C does not disclose clients without permission, does not approach its clients' customers and does not imitate anyone's products (privacy policy, in Vietnamese).
