Maternity stretch mark cream OEM/ODM manufacturing
Stretch Mark Cream · Maternity Body Cream · OEM/ODM
During pregnancy, the skin on the belly, thighs and breasts stretches quickly over a few months and tends to become dry, itchy and prone to stretch marks. A stretch mark cream is used every day for many months, so two things matter most: it must be pleasant to apply (fast-absorbing, non-greasy and lightly scented, since expectant mothers are sensitive to smells), and its ingredients must be chosen with care for pregnancy. Within cosmetic scope, the product moisturizes and helps skin stay soft and supple as it stretches; the wording must be honest and must not promise to erase stretch marks. Butter-C offers turnkey OEM/ODM manufacturing, from the formula to labeled finished goods and the notification dossier.
Formula base
A cream rich in butters, oils and humectants
Stretch mark creams are usually oil-in-water emulsions rich in plant butters, enough to moisturize for a long time while still absorbing when applied over large areas.
Butters and oils
Cocoa butter, shea butter, rosehip oil, jojoba oil, squalane to soften and moisturize.
Humectants
Glycerin, hyaluronate, panthenol to hold water in stretching skin.
Featured actives
Centella extract, hydrolyzed collagen for an elasticity story.
Emulsifiers and preservation
Olive-derived emulsifier system, gentle preservation; fragrance-free or very lightly scented.
Key technical points
Four factors that decide stretch mark cream quality
Ingredients chosen with care for pregnancy
No retinol or other vitamin A derivatives, no high-dose salicylic acid, limited essential oils; the safety assessment takes pregnant women as users into account.
Very light scent
Expectant mothers are sensitive to smells; fragrance-free or very lightly scented is preferred, without a heavy cocoa butter odor.
Absorbs yet still moisturizes
High butter and oil levels can feel greasy, so ratios are balanced and light emollients chosen for belly and thigh application that does not transfer to clothing.
Easy daily use
Pump bottle with enough product for one to two months; directions to apply evenly every day.
Three formulation directions
Three common stretch mark product lines
Butter-rich cream
Cocoa butter, shea butter, centella; the core product, used from the early months.
Light lotion
A thinner texture for hot weather, absorbs quickly.
Body oil
Rosehip, jojoba, almond oil; see our maternity belly oil page.
Packaging designed with the formula
Pump bottles, large tubes; cream-and-oil sets for gifting.
Parameters we monitor
What our R&D lab measures on every sample
These are the parameters Butter-C monitors during formula development and scale-up to production. Specific limits are agreed with you on the approved sample and then written into the product's in-house specification.
- pH
- Measured right after manufacture and after aging.
- Viscosity
- Tracked across temperatures; cocoa butter tends to thicken the cream in the cold.
- Emulsion stability
- Centrifuge and freeze–thaw cycling; no oil separation, no butter crystallization.
- Microbiology
- Tested at a GLP / ISO 17025-accredited laboratory.
- Preservative efficacy
- Preservative efficacy (challenge) test on the final formula.
- Peroxide value
- Rancidity of rosehip oil and plant oils is monitored.
- Packaging compatibility
- Pumps and tubes checked after aging.
Claims
