Men tend to sweat more and spend more time active or working outdoors, so a men's deodorant is expected to last all day and dry instantly so they can get dressed for work. Two common concerns are white marks on dark clothing and yellow stains on white shirts. Many men prefer sticks because they dry instantly, travel well and cannot spill; roll-ons remain popular for their good value. A masculine scent is a key brand signature, but it must not overpower any fragrance the user adds. Formula base
Deodorizing actives, antiperspirant salts and a fast-drying base
Men's lines usually prioritize reduced perspiration and instant dryness, so anhydrous stick bases and low-water roll-on bases are widely used.
Deodorizing
Zinc ricinoleate, triethyl citrate, ethylhexylglycerin — limit odor formation.
Reducing perspiration
Aluminum salts and aluminum–zirconium complexes within permitted limits, for lines aimed at heavy sweaters.
Fast-drying base
Stearyl waxes, light volatile oils, absorbent starch powders — dry on contact.
Feel and fragrance
Low-dose menthol for a cooling feel; woody, citrus and sport fragrances.

Lasts through activity
Actives and base stay in place during heavy sweating; hours of protection are stated only when evaluated.
Fewer white marks
Powders and aluminum salts tend to leave marks on dark clothing — clarifying oils are selected and tested on black fabric.
Fewer yellow stains on white shirts
Aluminum salts combined with sweat tend to cause yellowing; every sample is tested on white fabric.
Gentle on shaved skin
Many men shave or trim underarm hair; alcohol, fragrance and menthol are kept under control.

Translucent gel stick, deodorizing only, no white marks.

Parameters we monitor
What our R&D lab measures on every sample
These are the parameters Butter-C monitors during formula development and scale-up to production. Specific limits are agreed with you on the approved sample and then written into the product's in-house specification.
